Custom Designed 32ft Performance Cat

From Designer John Shuttleworth

If you're in the market for something truly unique and a vessel that makes sailing fast and fun, this is your next boat!

Designed by renowned Naval architect John Shuttleworth from Great Britain and built in Florida by Dale Schneider, this Shuttlecat 32 has taken it's owners to many great cruising locations with speed and comfort. She's designed to get you into the shallow anchorages of the Bahamas or Caribbean that most boats this size can not, and to also get you there first!

Part of the design brief was for a vessel that could sail much closer to the wind than traditional catamarans. This was accomplished through the use of a rotating carbon wing mast and very unique single dagger board located in the port hull. The hulls themselves where specifically designed to help in pointing, but also be able to keep a very low drag for off the wind sailing under the screecher or spinnaker and at the same time provide for a very shallow draft. Part of the advantage of this hull design is a rather large interior volume in each hull for the berths, nav station, head and galley. The open bridge deck features a hard bimini top, ample seating options great storage and the ability to safely run the boat without the need to go out of the cockpit. Another simple, yet efficient feature of the bridge deck is the location of the massive fridge/freezer boxes. They are located across the front of the cockpit. This keeps the weight of the contents and boxes/compressors centered in the boat, where it needs to be, and makes grabbing a cold beverage that much easier!

Eagle is built of vinylester, vacuum bagged over core cell with carbon fiber front cross bar and mast. She has partial Dyneema standing rigging and running rigging which was added in 2018. Updates and maintenance has been carried out regularly and the owner has provided a spread sheet with all the details. She is currently in the water off of the ICW at Atlantic Yacht Basin in Chesapeake VA "put away" and waiting for her next owner.
