1986 SABRE 30 MKIII

S/V VERITAS

The Sabre 30 MkIII was introduced in 1986 as a "re-tooled" design of the very successful earlier Mk1 & MkII  versions. Notable difference between the earlier models are a bit longer LOA at 30' 5", more beam at 10'5" and more free board. The original 30's were designed to fit into the MORC rating rule and in order to do so their LOA was limited to 29'11" and their beam was just 10'. When Sabre released this version the design was credited to "Sabre Design Team", however Sabre's founder, Roger Hewson, has been listed as the designer in other forums. The new MkIII's continued and built upon the earlier 30's stellar reputation for quality, seaworthiness, and comfort!

Sabre 30 hulls are all hand-laminated, in the traditional method of quality fiberglass production, utilizing alternating layers of chopped strand mat and woven fiberglass cloth set in vinylester resin.

S/V VERITAS has been lovingly cared for by a professional maritime Captain and used as his personal family boat. In the last 5 years she's had her entire standing rigging replaced, new Harken furler installed, both main and jib replaced w/Ullman sails by Latell Sailmakers of Deltaville, VA, head and hoses replaced (no smells), Exhaust elbow and hoses done, new injectors this year, fresh Cetol on teak and the list goes on.....

If you're looking for a great Sabre 30 MkIII, do not hesitate to make an appointment to come see S/V Veritas!
